Harrogate Film Festival presents and event in conjunction with Harrogate Film Society's pop-up cinema 'Flash Film' at North Bar to bring you the first of two outstanding films from 1994.
Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers helped ignite a huge debate in the US and Europe about violence in cinema. With outstanding performances from Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis, Stone's film is a biting satire on media complicity in on-screen violence. Using an eclectic soundtrack ranging from Leonard Cohen to Nine Inch Nails, and frenetic editing and psychedelic imagery, Stone tells the story of two young lovers who break all the rules.
Come and watch the film and join the discussion afterwards, hosted by Henry Thompson, Research Fellow in film at the University of Manchester.
Tickets are £10 and will include a drink at the bar. Natural Born Killers will screen at 3pm on Saturday 2 March upstairs at North Bar, in Harrogate.
(Please note that the film is rated 18 by the bbfc.)
