The prospect of an annual film festival is a great addition, not just for film fans but for the town's hospitality industry more generally. Harrogate Film Festival's international filmmakers competition will bring the town and its surroundings to the attention of international filmmakers and potential visitors from overseas. It will also encourage new local filmmakers to hone their talents and build new ventures, with cultural and business benefits for the community as a whole.
