Everyman Cinemas and Raworths Solicitors announced as main sponsors of the Harrogate Film Festival

As part of the 2017 Harrogate Film Festival they will be working with the brand-new Everyman Cinema to bring this festival to the town. The Everyman venue itself will be a showcase for the independent filmmaker’s competition across that weekend which allows filmmakers from across the world to share their work – this event is sponsored by Raworths Solicitors.
Over the festival weekend on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th March 2017, six short film competitions in the genres of; drama, comedy, thriller, documentary, romance and music will be held. With over 500 submissions from 45 countries across the world already this short film competition is shaping up to be a cracker - held in the new state of the art Everyman cinema which is available for private hire.
The inaugural Harrogate Film Festival awards ceremony will be sponsored by and taking place at The Crown Hotel on Sunday evening, 5th March, to reward and applaud these filmmakers. The full line-up of films to be shown will be revealed at the start of 2017.
Across the festival weekend they will offering you the opportunity to vote for your favourite independent film in their ‘Audience Choice’ award which will be presented at the awards ceremony to the winner.
This news comes off the back of the festivals successful warm-up events which were enjoyed by residents of Harrogate with the festival receiving some extremely good feedback. One audience member at their Casino Cinema event held at The Restaurant Bar & Grill said: “What a great night - Harrogate has never had anything like this".
Harrogate Film Festival aims to captivate the residents and filmmakers of Harrogate and surrounding areas by offering innovative events and opportunities which aim to engage and develop audiences with new cinema experiences, film education, interactive events and competitions.
